Getting truck running
I just received a 77 f250 custom truck and it's been sitting for anywhere from 11 to 15 years it has the 460 big block any ideas for how to drain the gas that was left in it after they parked it

If it still is liquid and not jelled then an old electric or siphon pump into a can or a suction pump to draw it through a container with an in and out line. Same like they use to move liquids at Hanford from tank to tank, but not as sophisticated. If not too full, I have dropped the tank (if it's not behind the seat)

After you pump it out remove the tank and take it to a radiator shop where they can clean it in their tank. Best to do because it's most likely full of rust and gunk. Take the fuel line off at the fuel pump and shoot some solvent or carefully some gas to clean it out. best to remove the fuel pump and go get a rebuilt or new one. Also replace any filters and rebuild the cab with a new kit. The diaphragm in the fuel pump may be dried out and won't pump and it could send fuel into the crankcase. Replace any rubber fuel lines also for safety.
