Need a manual drum master cylinder

Post by RTG_RACING »

Anyone know where to get a master for a manual drum setup on an f100? NPD has one but it's $133. Like to fund something cheaper or can I run a manual disk master?

I can't find any with the same size chambers on the res. They are all the big/small setup.

Check with your local parts store to cross reference Dorman part number D2UZ-2149-A There are some NOS on Ebay for around $50.
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 2042069679. Howver, I've replaced several using the unequal size reservoirs with no noticeable difference. Part number C8TZ-2140-C https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/en/tru ... r-assembly

Rock Auto has a ton of the drum only, manual and power. I didn't get to the store today to check NAPA. I will tomorrow, though.

The only ones I see on NPD with equal sized reservoirs is for F350s not F100s. Could it be that yours was replaced in the past with the wrong one?

Find your year/model on this page, remember the line number and then click on NEXT PAGE in the heading. The same line number will give you the real part number for your original master cylinder. http://www.fordification.com/mpc/sec20/ ... 3-1_04.htm This is supposedly an NOS master cylinder for my 1970 with manual drum brakes.

Well **** you maybe onto something. I guessed it was original since it had a Ford part number. I never thought I could be looking for the wrong part all this time.
