Camper special ID

Does anybody know how to tell if my 1971 f-250 is a camper special. I need to order some new headers and they all say they won't fit the camper special. I have only the vin#, the data plate is gone. Also, is it possible to get a new data plate based on the vin? My truck seems to have all the heavy duty stuff, dual caliper discs, 8 bolt wheels, side mounted tool box,auxiliary fuel tank, heavy duty suspension and real axle. It does not have the camper special emblems and no holes where they might have been. It is a Sport Custom model. Thanks for your help.

Do you have the sway bar that mounts on the radius arms? If so headers run into it. If you have the mid frame tank the exhaust needs routed differently and headers are more of a pain. Otherwise, good to go.

I agree. I have a 68 CS sway bar gone so headers fit. Dual 2.5" exh was no trouble. As has been mentioned the under bed tank gets routed around. My ehx runs down each side.

I've had 2 camper specials and never seen a front sway bar. When you turn on the lights, do you hear relays click near and behind the glove box?
