What's held the Highboy up for 4 years....

Post by Manny »

Well here's the story and i am sticking to it. In 2010-2012 True Blue Trucks Magazine was going, and i was editing and pouring it all in to it. The end result was egg on my face, a lot of failed promises due to a greedy owner. So the highboy and my other projects fell out of wind. Also there was a period for myself that was rough after that just trying to get back into it. The magazine had held me back from forums lots of spare time and even had hampered work as the thought was the magazine would be my new job. Oh well good lord knows what was best. Nowadays i am in a much better job more stable and things are smooth. Also i am ready to share progress and thoughts again with outlets so here goes. As for the magazine there was other projects that held the highboy up. Here is what was worked on.

My brothers 1989 F-250. This was a nothing left unturned build. F250 to F350. 1989 to 1994 front clip. C6 to ZF5 speed. Turbo idi engine and complete interior undercarriage furbish on and on. It was 2-1/2 years.
Firstday here.

The build and after.

The 1973 F350 SCS. Saved from the scrap heap. Got it running with a spare 390 and out on the road. Perfect survivor truck. Wound up in Ron's collection of Dentsides. Sorry phone meant this build got lost.

Then finally the last 3 months were reviving the 74 bronco that replaced the 73' SCS (It was a choice of what was wanted more. Nothing fancy here just getting it on the road after 15 years of neglect. Brakes hoses wiring Etc Etc.... 302 3 speed dana 44 9 inch 3 inch rancho kit. 33x12.50R15

With that i will sign off. That catches the world up and now its time to build 1967 highboy..... :woohoo:

Thanks guys i appreciate it. Sad that i lost the photos of the 73' it was a fun throw down build i would have loved to post but the phone flew off the wifes car roof at 35. The bronco is just getting going. Fun to drive right now and learning what i want to do to it in the future.
