Original Color Boxwood Green 1970 F-350
Hi all.
Havn't posted that often. But those who are also on facebook probably noticed some of the various Bumpside's I've been selling this past 16 months. I think I've sold somewhere around 22 since last April, give or take a dent or slick. Need to check the files to find out exactly how many. Anyhow, it's turned into a side business. Been finding Dry-Climate survivors, and putting them back on the road. Most have shipped from here in Idaho, to Florida, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Texas, Wisconsin, New York, Nebraska, and anyplace in between.
My favorite so far this year is an actual 66k mile F-350, rescued here in Idaho. My client wanted me to find a dry-climate truck, in original paint, with good trim package. Potentially an F-350. Well, we found one. She took a little TLC to put back on the road, but she runs fantastic. Ships on Monday to my client who is a wonderful gentleman in Alabama. Not sure if he's a member here?
Anyway, it was too pretty not to post some photos to share with you all!
It got a thorough rear-end re-build, and a tune-up and is now a daily driver. Better than being abandoned! The previous owner had parked it after the rear end started making some noise. And it was probably bound for the scrap-pile.
Has a 390 that was installed in 1986. Sports original paint and interior. NP435, Dana 70 DRW, and new 16" solid wheels. And it is rust-free. Gotta love it!
159" wheelbase, and narrow DRW means that even with a 12ft flatbed, the overall footprint isn't much different than a new F-150 crew with 6ft bed. This truck weights in empty at 5,980lbs.
Enjoy!

Re: Original Color Boxwood Green 1970 F-350
I’m the fortunate client who purchased this heavy duty green beauty. I brought her to the south and she is performing very well. I had to tune the timing a bit to my climate and she runs out very well and drives smooth and straight.
Joseph, great work in locating her and it was a true pleasure working with you on the hunt. In fact, I may do it again very soon! After looking for trucks in my area for over a year I was glad that I changed my search to the dry climate of Idaho and surrounding areas. No way that I could have done this without your help.
Thanks,
Bradauburn87

Re: Original Color Boxwood Green 1970 F-350
I'm kinda partial to DRW bumps myself, so would it be asking too much for a new thread with more pics? I'm in the process of (slowly) building mine into a stake bed, so I'm always on the look out for ideas.
Beautiful truck, and from San Diego.

I'm with Tim (Jacksdad), we DRW guys should start a thread for DRW specific stuff and photos. Being such a small subset, we get lost in the noise it seems. Just my anyway.

Not a bad idea - I have a lot of pics I've saved over the years of DRW bumps

And it was a pleasure working with Bradauburn87 to find this classic DRW Bump!

I'm game. Ranchero has Lou, one of the nicest DRW bumps around - as a mod, maybe he should have the honor of starting one.
