Hey guys I am new here and new to restoring. I bought a 72 ford ranger XLT. The wood grain trim was in bad shape and I ordered the 3M di-noc to replace the old. The FORD lettering is inside the tailgate panel and I need to remove them to lay the vinyl down. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the letters off. I don't want to damage the panel because they look hard to replace and expensive. Thanks for any help.

The tailgate panel is held on with rivets through the back side of the tailgate. I believe there are 10 of them. There's a photo in the top of the this thread that will show you about where they are. http://m.fordification.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40047
