Help Identifying Wheels

Post by mulletmobile »

Picked up these today at the local thrift store of all places. They just got them in yesterday and were putting them out before they opened and as i was driving by. I spied the 8 lug pattern and turned in for a closer look. That is when I found there were four, four excellent center caps and matching trim rings. Wheels had shiny silver paint on the inside between the beads indicating they are newer, the outsides covered in heavy paint but marked Ford / 0314 over 84 / and a capital F inside of a shield. Figured the $50 to at least get good centers was fine and if the wheels get me out of my 16.5" wagons wheels bonus. Then to get them powdercoated either a Bahama or Hawaiin blue to match the two tone blue and white interior! So the question is, what exactly are the wheels from?

Ok got some info on another site. Firestone-Accuride 16x7 made 03/14/84 rated to ~3050lbs. Don't know about you but I think I really made out on this one. They will just fit into my cabinet for blasting and then off to powdercoating in a nice Blue. Leaning toward Acapulco blue (1967 Ford color) or maybe even Grabber Blue.

Good Job.!

I like a nice "dog dish "with a trim ring.
