My Exotic...

Post by HIO Silver »

It was time to treat myself to a 'new' car. It's a 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider F1... you could say it has a 'six on the tree'. Only has 14.9k miles.

Ditto. See a good many around the city but not up our way. Seems to be a diverse group of folks who run them. Some are enthusiasts and like to talk about them, then some are pretty snotty.

Should be an interesting car to tinker with.

Kind of diverse.... most are deathly afraid to do anything to them lest they do something wrong.. I call them 'fearful'. To me it's a car... same basic concepts but engineered to the nth degree.. and sometimes over-engineered. The folding top mechanism is quite a visual symphony of events and fascinating to watch. I'm still studying the operations manuals... there are four volumes... and identifying the different components. It's incredible to drive!!

I was gonna join the local Ferrari club but most of their events are they're a bunch of blue hairs who like to go wine tasting... I'd rather visit micro-brews and BBQ joints!
