Cab Swap/ vin tag

Looking to do a cab swap on a 72 hi-boy in the future. My 72 has only a "Sticker " in the cab door jamb. if it had a VIN tag on the door, ( I suppose it did ) it did not get swapped when someone replaced the doors, the door on the truck now, has holes for a tag but no tag. Question is, what do I do going forward with the sticker and about the missing data tag? Or is that a question that is State specific?
The cab is going to be replaced , but the only identifying mark the sticker.

Do you have the Vin number from the frame. If you do go to the Marti website and have a Marti report done It will tell you everything about your truck. They may also be able to recreate your VIN tag from that info. I believe it is Marti Auto Works.

I have not yet looked for it, I will in a day or so. Thanks for the info on Marti I have not heard of them before.

The frame VIN is located just left of the Alternator. You may need to carefully clean the area (use brake clean and a rag) to read the number.

Someone was reproducing the stickers if you have proof of ownership. I thought it was Marti.

Yes I used Marti auto works and received a brand new VIN tag with the original style rivets. If you have the just have a VIN you will have to buy a report plus the VIN tags and rivets. If you had the original tag you could just upload a pic and just buy the tag. Its not that expensive and they are very good to work with.
