I know this is way off bumpside discussion.
Over the last two summers i have come across multiple numbers of Saturn S-series cars that have been sold/scraped because of bad (ie: rusted out) front sub frames/engine cradles.
There are a surprising number of these being driven here in the U.P. because they are cheap to insure, fairly easy to repair at home, and get great mileage (35 mpg+). Body work is stupid easy after you hit a deer. Replace a plastic panel and walla ! Commuting here is a way of life for lots of people. By commuting i mean 100 miles round trip everyday. My commute is close to 60 miles round trip everyday.
Looking for someone who is outside the rust belt, (Iron Moths never sleep) who might possibly be willing to pull these and ship them.
I will need one soon for my car, and i know of some others also.
Any salvage yard scavengers out there looking for a new adventure?
Parts/labor and shipping all covered by me. I would like to ship multiple (2 or more) at a time to help defer costs.
All S-series cars are the same. 1992-2002, all models, sub frames are interchangeable.
Shoot me a PM if anyone is interested in this endeavor.
Thanks

Re: Looking for Saturn S-series parts
How much work is involved extracting the subframe.
I'm a sympathetic soul (from WI) living in texas but I don't have much time for these sorts of endeavors lately. If it involves as much work as i think it does, basically dropping the entire engine/transaxle, and disconnecting the entire suspension, i'm out.
You could try posting on craigslist for someone willing to do it, but i reckon you'd get scammers and wierdos. I do know a small mom-and-pop junkyard that is not u-pull that might be willing to do it, PM me if you want contact info.
