Old member checking in

Post by willowbilly3 »

I haven't posted in years, actually been about a year since I even poked my nose in the door. I was the 11th member when Keith started out. Said some things I shouldn't have on a different forum Keith was lurking on a few years back and no amount of apologies changed that so I moved on. I don't drive bumps anymore, moved on from that too after owning 40 some of them. I like older stuff now and presently have a 60 F100 and a 40 tonner panel truck I'm working on, plus my 29 roadster pickup I finished a few years ago. So, anyway, just wondering how some of the projects came out, like Keiths 67 and his chopped truck. And to say hi to any of the old timers who are still around

I was working on this before I cam to this forum. Got it on the road about 3 years ago. Pic taken a Bonneville speed week last year. That lake in the background is normally the salt flats.

Dang.. Been a while. The rat rod came out good. I remember when you were working on it. Like how
the chopped windshield came out.

It's been a great little car. It had a bad, and unpredictable death wobble when I first built it. A steering stabilizer, new front tires and alignment fixed that. And the limited slip 3.70 gear wouldn't slip, it was like driving a spool so I dropped a 3.50 open into it. Other than those 2 things all I've done is drive the snot out of it. I just scored another 260 so I can start rebuilding an engine for it. It still runs fine but oil pressure is getting a little weak and it doesn't have quite as much snort as it once did. The 260 in it was an 80,000 mile engine I pulled from a car that had sat in a field for over 15 years.

Ditto, very cool cruiser. Doesn't look like many catalog parts on it.

I finally got my truck on the road after too many years. Love it and the compliments folks give it.

Hey there WB, good to see you!

I'm still here, obviously, just do not say as much as I used to. The 69's been parked since 2010 and health/time/money do not let me do all what I used to.

WillowbillyIII, good to hear, I'll never sell my stepside, had it a while now. I just keep it running and put in whatever upgrades I feel like adding.
It was good hearing your take on the 300-6, I always thought we shoulda had our own category on Fordification.
