***Update on that stroke***
I just went out and tried again (this time with a razor blade instead of a sharpie). I think that trying to get your eyeball and two hands into that #4 hole makes it difficult to get an accurate mark. With a razor, it measures exactly 3.5", so I guess I have a 360. Maybe I'll start another thread about whether it's worth the 390 conversion.

In regards to 360 vs 390..
The debate is out in my opinion. I would say if you needed a rebuild anyway, then sure, go for it. But if the engine is otherwise strong, stick with the 360 for a while.
