I'm not having much luck finding the size of the front wheel hub dust caps for a '67 F250. Mine seem to be MIA.
I keep finding conflicting information when searching the web, and the '68 dust caps I ordered are just a little big. Big enough that I can't make them work. Does anyone know the size or a part number?

Measure the inside diameter of the hole in the hub, and then check out the options at the autoparts stores.
For them to fit really well, you may need to file down the dust cap's outside diameter to get a nice tight interference fit.

Thanks Jzjames. I guess the answer to my problem was pretty obvious
I measured a diameter of 2.23" for future reference. I dunno if this is another one year only quirk for 67, most parts places online had the caps for 65+66 and then 68-79....

I had to go by the actual diameter and the dust caps were on the shelf at the store.
But of course they didn't just pop right in and I had to put the file to it and smooth the diameter of the dust caps and give it a slight bevel to get them started onto the hub.
Been years now and the front dust caps are sturdy and doing the job.

I bought some caps that were oversized, but they ended up being too shallow
Then I found a NOS set on EBay . The part number is A8TZ-1131-B.

Re: 1967 F250 Wheel Bearing Dust Cap
Came across this thread as I'm fighting my Dorman so-called 2.5" dust caps for my '68 F250 with discs. Not only do they not fit, they have a bevel that increases the diameter of the cap as it goes into the hub, so it makes them pop when I try and tap them in. Frustrating. I'm going to try the file as you recommend. Thanks!

A nice little project. Just keep going round and round the perimeter with the file taking off small amt of metal.

I forgot to respond: Filing (and patience) worked along with a couple hours in the freezer before whacking it in carefully with a 2x4 and hammer.
