Rear brake line routing

Post by Old+Blue »

Just wondering….67 F100 2wd long bed….why does the rear brake line pass by the flexible brake hose then do a U-turn back to that bracket where the hard line and the flexible line meet?

Not sure I can picture the line/location you're talking about. But I'm guessing it's the same reason why the coiled up hard line is used at the MC-for vibration and some flex in movement so the steel line isn't subjected to a lot of vibration/stress from being "hard mounted".
