I've been looking online and getting very different answers.
Is there a bleeder valve or not? Do the front wheels have to be off the ground? Or can i just drive it making sharp turns? How many times will i need to crank the wheel back and forth?
My friend is telling me i can bleed it by loosening the intake fitting.
I had the pump off and replaced intake line.
thanks in advance.
How do I bleed the power steering?

Re: How do I bleed the power steering?
I have never done anything except cycle the steering to full lock (and hold a few second) both ways several times and check the fluid level on anything I’ve ever done.
I’d do it wheels on the ground (so its under a load and level).

No need to bleed it, just turn the steering wheel back and forth a few times. I would also suggest using real power steering fluid instead of ATF. It will whine less.

Mine did not like PS fluid at all, back to type F.

Re: How do I bleed the power steering?
I guess it depends on the type of pump you have. My bump has a later style pump with the plastic reservoir and it is noisy with Dexron ATF but very quiet using power steering fluid. I never tried type F, though........if it calls for type F use it......I had the same thing happen......
