Hello from South Louisiana
Been a site browser for several years; finally decided to get registered after reviewing some great advice on the forum recently (rebuilding my bed). Maybe I can repay the favor one day. Picked up my pawpaw's (grandfather's) 1969 F100 Longbed in 1981 after he passed away - I've been driving/using it ever since - aside from time it sat in a shed while I was in the service/deployed. She's not all that pretty anymore, but I've been in her since I was about one-year-old and she's family. I was even hired as an extra this past year to drive her in a movie they filmed nearby (the truck got $200, they only gave me $100). Still using it several times a month and just trying to keep up with the rust and body work. Thank you FORDification and the folks here on the site.

Welcome to the site! How about posting up a pic or two of your truck. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to see it.

Picture of my '69 from the movie 'set' ["Troupe Zero"] with her makeup on (cheap grey primer). She was originally Arcadian Blue, which I'm hoping to get her repainted with in the next few months (o.k., years).

from Georgia from a fellow Cajun born in Houma. Worked offshore in the 80s catching out of Cameron, New Iberia and Venice. Have family still in Lafayette. Great truck and great heritage!

Merci pour l’accueil! Morgan City myself; spent most my growing up between there and Belle River/Pierre Part - so I was just down LA20/HWY90 from you. Over towards Boutte since I left the service, but my oldest goes to school in Lafayette. Small world, especially since both my truck and I “played” Georgians in the movie I mentioned. I’m sure we’ll ‘pass a visit’ on the site from time to time!

Actually lived more north before moving to Georgia in 1990. A dam yankee by your standards. 15 miles from the Arkansas border and 45 mins west of Shreveport. Keep us updated on your truck!
