Over the past few years I have slowly replaced front end parts on my truck. And prematurely worn the hell out of some tires in the process. I finally have replaced everything and I'm trying to get my toe alignment correct.
What is the correct spec for toe? According to the fordification tech article, it's 1/16" to 3/16" toe-in for an F100. According to a guy in this thread - http://fordification.com/forum/viewtopi ... oe#p757942 - it's 1/8" toed OUT. I don't think I've seen a spec for any vehicle that calls for toe out.
My tie rod adjustment is bottomed out. The tie rods touch in the middle of the sleeve, and I am still toe'd in more than the spec. I plan to take the linkage apart and trim the rod ends, hopefully without messing up the threads. Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Alignment
I meant to reply earlier, sorry.
I believe CH3NO2 may have it mixed up. In my experience toe IN decreases tendency to wander and toe OUT wanders. zero toe is theoretical best tire wear but it won’t drive good.
Fordification spec jives with Hunter spec.
Shoot for the middle of the range or “preferred” setting.

Duckryder you are correct.I think I had a brain fart when I wrote that because I set mine at 1/16 toe- IN.
