CV swap which brake booster and Master cylinder ?

Post by 68shortbedinmo »

I did a CV swap and I still have my Dana 60 in the rear with drums. I have a booster/MC from a 78 I was using on my truck with the disc brakes from the 78 before my CV swap. Can I still use this Booster/MC with the CV ? If so what proportioning valve do I need ?
Thank You

I have the same question with regards to this. I has one person tell me that he used a 2014 Mustang GT brake booster and master cylinder. But this was with a Mark VIII 8.8 disc brake rear

So the quick answer is that a MC with a 1" bore will work the best with the CV brakes and you can tune the rear brakes with a manual proportioning valve.

Just so you know the 2014 Mustang does not have a vacuum booster it has a hydroboost system. If you are wanting to use vacuum then I would suggest something like this:
