Hey guys,
could anybody provide a full wheel jack assembly correct for a 1970 F-250? Missing mine completely. There are many different assemblys out there which are very similar to each other. I have an offer here but do not know about the correct style...
The jack stand storage had been in the engine compartment on the left side originally - can anybody provide a good picture of that location? And where was the rest of the assembly located?
Thank you,
Tim

Do your research. There are many pictures available of them here and elsewhere.

Re: Wheel jack assembly
I know that there are pictures here or there. I am searching for weeks now here and there but did not come to a conclusion, what were originally the components of the factory wheel jack assembly in 1970 and where have all of it been stored when not in use. There are some, which have a dual piece lever but there are also some with a one piece lever, for example. The guy who want to sell his assembly to me has a big one piece lever and claims it is original. Are all assemblies from 67-72 the same or are there differences in these years too?Busboy wrote:Do your research. There are many pictures available of them here and elsewhere.
I know there are some more important problems than this but before I am buying the wrong parts for 150 Dollars I just want to have some more facts. If buying I want some original parts for that money. Some clarification from an original owner would help, perhaps not only me...

Re: Wheel jack assembly
On the inside of the cab behind the seat on the floor should be 2 studs one each side of the cab is where the long rod goes with a metal bracket holding it with a wing nut and lug wrench has bracket that the round part fits into with that bracket being held down by a Phillips screw

Re: Wheel jack assembly
I believe that I still have a perfect, original jack that has been sprayed satin black and looks and operates like brand new. PM if interested and I will do some digging
