In all my years, (over 35) of working on them I've never seen one!
And it doesn't look like the tool box door to a camper special either:

It was called a super camper special 140" wheel base 73-79' heavy heavy truck spare tire was in the side to make easier to change. First ford to break 10,000gvw on super single rear tires!!! Had a black 390 73' auto and had a spare bed and door for it sold it to my dentside collector friend to make space for the 74' bronco.

The 1973' i payed $300.00 for with no motor. Before she left i had her running driving. 390 c-6 Dana 70 rear with 3.5 inch brakes and dual piston disc fronts she was a beast. Did not keep her but saved one from the scrapper and she is in a good home now!

Yup, that's right, This started in 1973 with the super camper special trucks. it was only called the super camper special form 73-76, you could still get a 140 inch wheelbase f350 truck after 76, but would have been called a camper special or trailer special.

I bought a 74 chassis at a sale years ago,It had been stretched 12''. Truck body was very rusty. I put a 79 f150 cab and verious parts from other trucks on it. I paid $125. It has a 390 4bbl ,PS,PDB,auto, had dual battery set up,and a locker rear with sway bars.Engine runs great. I found a 9 foot bed that was made into a trailer at another sale for $35 to put on it.The trailer still has the rear small plastic fuel tank. I was debating to cut out what the P.O. installed and return it to original or let it and put 6'' stacks between cab and bed :hmm: :? Just a thought. :2cents:

Just the bed off that one the one on the 73' was junk sides were good but no and I mean no floor whatever. Ron my other fellow writer from defunct true blue trucks has the truck and the bed now. I got it running and driving he Is probably going to keep it as just a survivor.

Manny, did you check the gears in that, it may have a locker in it. A friend of mine said some of those were specd like that, mine was. I also see it still has those extra wide steel wheels on the back. Not 100% sure if that was standard , but I see a lot of these trucks with those wide 16.5s on them.

Sorry been gone out of the country with the wife. We spent a week in Ireland and then was sick. Just now getting back in the swing. That truck was a factory 390 2 bbl c-6 with a 4.10 limited slip dana 70 HD. All the supers had 70 rears from what i have found. The 73's as mine was came with 16.5 x7 wheels the whole way around and had a 9500lb weight rating. 1974 they came with the super singles on the back the 16.9x9.75 wheels that we all know and love. With super singles in 74' it was the first single tire truck to hit the magic of 10,000 GVW. i had 4 of those wheels for my highboy. They went with the super to Ron and he is going to do the spec skinny front fatty back of a 74' up. Not correct for a 73' but i like it better anyway. The high boy now will get wheel vintiques 82' 16x10s or the new us mags 17x10 slots as tires i have many more options. Wow sorry that got long.

Manny, where did you find that out? I have a 73 SCS that has super singles and a 10k gvw. Now i'm wondering if its a late 73 or some mid year thing? Dangit, now i'm curious enough to have to go into the barn and re-visit that truck.
