LMC Radiators
Howdy, I have a 1972 f100 and recently my radiator bit the dust. I was looking on LMC and found one for $249.95. The only problem is LMC doesn't provide any information for their radiators. I was wondering what brand are they, and are they any good? I'm NOT looking to buy a plastic radiator. If you guys have any suggestions for any good radiators please let me know.

Re: LMC Radiators
I don't know about the LMC units, but LMC, as you may know, has a checkered reputation for quality, you will probably have to pay for shipping, and then there is the wait, and the hassle if for some reason you need to send it back. NAPA has radiators for these trucks for less than $200 (more for the heavy duty model), possibly available at your local store with no charge for shipping, and with a no-hassle return policy if it is defective or doesn't fit. Other parts suppliers may have similar deals.

Re: LMC Radiators
I have a Champion brand aluminum radiator in my truck. No problems with it. Love it, it's been in for 125,000 miles

Re: LMC Radiators
Yes I used a local Napa with no hassle. 3rd one was a proper fit. Lot better than dealing with shipping.

Where are you located? I have a good, slightly used radiator I took out of my 72 F-250 when I changed from a 360 to a 460. I am in northern California.

I did get a plastic one. I just brought in my old one to the local radiator shop.

Re: LMC Radiators
You can find aluminum radiators on ebay for under $200, delivered. I bought a standard radiator a few years ago, but the mounting flange had the holes on the rear, so I have to use stand-offs and long bolts to hold it in. Kinda dorky, but it works for now.
