That's a hard choice. I really like both of these styles better than the 70's style speedos. My favorite is the top picture.69Ford wrote:Here's a couple of pics. Thanks for the post now I'm drooling over the f600 type instrument clusters! Gives it a nice custom feel... Classic. Want to buy! Anyone? Help me sleep at night.

Re: Collecting and Restoring Gauge Clusters
I know this is not for a bump. but I had this around so I began a restore I'll finish it up as I get parts. The writing for the gauges on the mask were shot I'm going to use model railroad decals and make my own. Wish me luck.

Re: Collecting and Restoring Gauge Clusters
That one is a reproduction bezel. LMC Truck and other vendors sell them. Original gauges, original wire harness and all other parts restored and repainted. The bezel is about $125 a little more for the woodgrain one. Not hard to do especially if you have access to a media blaster for the face plate and gauge surround if yours is not in good shape. WARNING do not try to clean up the gauges with any type of water soap or cleaner Windex etc. Will take off the lettering.dbarker wrote:omg i love the restored deluxe cluster... bottom one http://www.fordification.com/forum/down ... &mode=view

Re: Collecting and Restoring Gauge Clusters
69Ford, your post on page 4, with the photo of the back of 3 gauge clusters. It looks like you swapped locations on a couple gauges. Is that true? Any particular reason?69Ford wrote:Top F500 with altered harness, middle F100 totally stock harness, bottom F500 stock harness. Notice how the altered harness has the plug further over like the f100 harness.

Re: Collecting and Restoring Gauge Clusters
The stock gauges are in different positions on an F500 setup vs F100 setup. The temperate and alternator gauges are switched. I don't know why Ford switched them on the F500's. Unfortunately because the alternator gauge mounts different than the rest of the gauges you have to live with itdotcentral wrote:69Ford, your post on page 4, with the photo of the back of 3 gauge clusters. Question when I click on Pics in this post it says "The selected attachment does not exist anymore" what happened to them. Are they deleted over time to save space. Thanks

I've had some questions on f600 gauges but have not been working on them for a while other priorities. Thanks for the interest and hope this post helps.

Re: Collecting and Restoring Gauge Clusters
ok, yea, when I click on the pictures to get a better view of, like the wiring, I can't see them, what 69ford said. I would like to wire up my 600 gauges to my 71 F250...

Re: Collecting and Restoring Gauge Clusters
Do you have a Vacuum gauge you'd be willing to part with. I just got a F600 panel, but the vacuum gauge can is missing, I have the vacuum instrument. I also have the tach which I don't need/want. Maybe a trade?
