OT: letters and numbers on Ford navi radios
I can't seem to locate the meanings of Ford navi numbers and letters meanings on top of the OEM radio, Example:7L3T-18K931-BF or 8T4T-18k931-BA. any ideas or knowledge of these. Some of the navis are made in Japan by Pioneer. Anyway , I'm looking for one for a 2006 F-150 King Ranch.

The original receiver would likely have an engineering part number starting with 6L3T. 6='06 and L3=F150 . The middle number still describes the basic part type and the suffix describes the change level/application. Generally you need the oe number for replacement but other numbers may work; you may also need a dealership to reflash the unit. Try car-part.com and you can find a list of what was used for each year.
