So I was browsing ebay and came across this beauty.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Ford-F-100 ... RTM2247625
A 1967 F100 listed as ALL ORIGINAL.
Take a look at the outside rear mirrors and the rear bumper. I have done a lot of research on these bumpsides and although I am no expert I have never ever seen these items as original standard or optional equipment. I will defer to some of you guys who know even more than I do to confirm. I'm tempted to contact the seller to let him know as I would hate to have some less knowledgeable individual buy that truck thinking it was as ORIGINAL as he emphatically states and it is not.
Original ???

Re: Original ???
Not sure on the bumper. The side mirrors on the other hand I have seen on other bumps, BUT I always thought they were pulled from later trucks. Possibly dents.

Typical 1980's restoration with whatever the old guy who owned it wanted from the catalogs at that time. Original, about 30-50%, mostly what you can't see.

Re: Original ???
Looking at the 1967 VIN Decoder on this site there is a B transmission code which designated a T-85, a 3 speed with overdrive. So that could be correct.67mann wrote: Never heard of a 3 on the tree with OD...... just me
However , the mirrors and bumper is what stood out for me. I have the exact same mirrors on my truck but I bought them new from Ford back in 1983 and were equipped on the 73-79 F100 model years.
Thanks guys for confirming my suspicions.

Re: Original ???
Can't help with the discussion, I'm afraid - but I like that color combination. My bump is sky view blue, but I've been thinking about going two-tone. Pretty truck.

Re: Original ???
I sent the guy a message this was his response, and I didn't mistype his statement, "Thanks for you interest". I think he knows it is not original and trying to pass it off as such.

That pretty much says it all........and after looking at all the photos of the underside I would have to question it spent it's whole life in California....... Looks to me like it's seen some northern winters somewhere........
