Leave it like it is! You can always make it shiny down the road in a few years when your tired of the patina look. You can work on mechanical stuff and make under the hood and interior shiny then you get both!

The best thing about a few dents, dings, and patina is that I'm not wary of parking it any where I want. A flawless paint job would make me "worry" unnecessarily about the finish.

Personally, I'm "picking" at mine. I'm concentrating on the mechanics. I'll get to the body ... eventually ... or not. But my #1 is to keep her on the road.

Remember, she's only original once! The patina, dings and dents all tell a story of her life; some good and some maybe not so good. Now, I can see repairing some of the really bad rust and perhaps using a hammer and dolly to get some of the bad dents out but otherwise, I would enjoy her as she is. Really shiny and pretty cars are beautiful and bring a since of pride but there can be a ton of care and worry that can also come with it to.

I'm honestly considering replacing fenders, upper/lower grille panel and color matching the paint and leaving the rest. I love the truck the way it is, but the bent up panels are what bug me... and the incorrect mismatching grille, but I have a '68 steel that will do until I find a '69 steel grille... That way the truck looks fairly straight and still has an "original" look...
