VIN tag deciphering help
Can someone please decipher this tag for me? According to the title it's a '68 model Ranger.

WOW! That's a lot of information you got out of that. I tried, and I tried to decipher it myself but didn't really know what I was doing. I really appreciate it.
Is the Dana 44 a bad thing?
What automatic transmission was most likely behind the 360?

Most likely the tranny is a C6. Don't know much about rear axle's.
