I knew the in-cab tanks had different line sizes per the year. ie: the hard fuel line from tank on my '72 is larger than the line from my '69. Not sure when they "officially" went from 5/16 to 3/8. Nice to know they did it with aux. tanks also for future reference.

I think things started to change around 70 or 71. The sending unit on my 69 is definitely 5/16. The one that LMC sent was a 3/8. The ones I've seen on E-bay are 3/8 even though they claim they are for a 69. One possibility is that these "oem"" senders are not the same part # that is on their box. In other words the part # on the box is supposed to be for my 69 but the sender didn't come out of that box. My dilemma is getting the NOS suppliers such as C&G and Greens Sales co. to actually get off their ass and measure the part before shipping it to me.

Got my new tank and will just have to adapt from 3/8 to 5/16. Napa had an adapter nipple for 3.50 that will work.
