2006 F150 5 digit code

Post by 71 LONG BED »

I just bought a 2006 F150 Super Crew with the 5.4L Triton.
It has the number pad on the drivers door handle for locking and unlocking the doors. It comes from the factory with a unique 5 digit code.
Since I bought it from a dealer, I have no idea what the code is. I did some research and only dug up info on 2009s. I looked where they said and it's not there.

Does anyone one know where this code is hidden on the 2006s? I refuse to pay $75 to Ford for them to give it to me. :fr:

I know the earlier ones are located on a card in the owners manual book, atleast it was on my 2002 F150. The other way is for Ford to hook up the computer to it and go into body security functions from a program and pull it out from there.

If the card is not with the owners manual the code can be found printed on the computer module. Based on the following youtube video it looks like a real p.i.t.a. to get to behind the seat.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I only got an owners manual. There was no other info or paperwork.
Which brings up another interesting note, the manual is in French. Car fax states the truck was sold and spent it's life in Ontario Canada. My '71 was manufactured at the plant in Toronto, so both of my Ford trucks hail from our northern neighbors. :D
