I'm starting to think that for spammers and identify theft criminals that they ought to use capitol punishment on them.

For spammers how about instead we sentence them to life reading their own crap on a continuous loop? For identity thieves I rather favor a life sentence of labor to pay YOUR debts.

95% of it is bot generated. The other 5% just have excerpts from books or posts that don't apply to the thread. You can smell them out after a while.

The fact that the forum is running on autopilot is largely to blame. There's no human interaction needed for a new member to post and the make the text match the picture thing had been figured out long ago. That a lot of the links are dead shows just how out of date the VB software is. We are being attacked by zombie bots.
