Introducing my daily driver
Bought her about 14 months ago and spent the first 10 months fixing stuff as it broke down. I've been driving her daily on my 80 mile round trip to work. She's been down a few times, worst was when the pinion bearing went out and I replaced the 3rd member. But for the most part she's proven to be reliable and a true joy to drive and own. 1964 Fairlane 500, 289/auto, A/C, P/S. My family affectionately refers to her as "The Beast".

I "rescued" it from a friends property , before the land was developed.
Ohhh was it rusty , it had the 260 and all the parts went to a good home.
I have the original dog dish hubcaps on my '93 daily driver.
and the pitted but straight bumpers waiting for someone who needs them. (I just can't scrap em).

She averages around 15-17 mpg most days. Autolite 2100 carb. Trip to work is mostly cruising around 60 mph with little traffic. Trip home usually takes longer and traffic is quite a bit worse so that drags it down. Overall, at today's prices, it doesn't really cost me a lot more than the Toyos I was driving and a lot more fun to drive.
