Well, nothing last forever. My F350 has a good bit of rust creeping back in under the paint so I'm glad I didn't go professional paint on it and I can repair it as it goes. I know the truck won't live forever but it should outlive me so I plan on keeping it as long as I can. PS, PB and an Auto means the older me should still be able to run it.

I'd keep it and keep plugging away at it. For $2k to me it's not worth selling.

I'm sorry that it has to come to getting rid of your truck. I thought your ad for it was one of the more honest posts on Craigslist I ever saw (never once did you state that the 360 was bored out to a 428 SCJ engine)!
