I bought another brand of truck......
Never fear, its not one of THOSE !
I bought 1961 Willys pick-up ! It is very rough, and very complete.
Not sure why i did it....couldn't help myself
Not to the house yet. Gotta wait for some more snow to melt.
Will post a few pics of my newest pile when it gets here.
Looking for a good Willys forum. Have seen a couple in searches, not sure who to go with.
Recommendations ?
Thanks all

Re: I bought another brand of truck......
Actually the current plan is to put the cab and front clip on a '78 F-150 short box chassis.Isn't it obvious ? , put in a Ford drivetrain .
300-6, NP435,205, 9 inch rear, quad shock High pinion Dana 44 front. Some 34x9.5x15 TSL's for grip.
A nice flat bed on the back, and name it....
Willford !

That sounds like a plan.
But I would go with a 429 instead of a 6cyl , but thats just me.

Yup it is cool.
When I was a 19 I donated my 49 Ford and my uncle used the flat head V-8 in a Willys. It turned out cool, but I wish I would have kept the 49.

Cool looking Willys. I just found and bought my Dads old 1973 J4000 Jeep truck back. The last time I saw it was 1991 in the neighbors barn that he sold the Jeep to. The neighbor gave the truck to his son in law then he sold it to a friend. That guy kept it a while then sold it back to the son in law. Now its mine and I plan to restore it soon. My Dad bought that Jeep in 1980, I drove it home from the used car lot in Chattanooga.
