What is best to fill the cab seams on the exterior with and the drip edges.

Use either the Valvoline plio grip seam sealer or the similar 3m seam sealer. This is the two part seam sealers. A little expensive but tool time is longer, they are sand-able, and they won't shrink or crack. For the most part, anything that comes in a single tube is trash.
