Spray in bed liner??

Replacing metal in my 1970 f100. Beds pretty solid but by no means show room. Thinking of spray in Bedliner any ideas or suggestions

I intend to do the same thing with my 70 when I get that far, but I was figuring to have it done professionally. I used a roll in liner on my 1948 CJ2A tub, but it shows signs of where after a couple of years use. Whatever you decide, please share with us!

Will do it will be a few weeks I'm going to drop it off and the line X shop for them to do.

Raptor liner is damn good stuff if you want to go the DIY route. Looks great if you have the gun to spray it on. If you use your truck a lot then go with a company like linex

When I restored my '64 International 1100A I did the box liner myself. It has a stepside box and these trucks have 20 ga steel. They are tough to get dents out of. I did the best I could but if I painted it a lot of the smaller dents would show. So I had the box sand blasted with real fine sand and it left the metal in real good shape to finish dry sanding. I painted the truck Chrysler Viper red so I used a red primer inside the box. Next I used a clear undercoat tinted with the red paint and sprayed in the liner to the box using my undercoat gun at 40 psi and also the inside of the tail gate. I taped off the edges to avoid overspray to the rest of the truck and my lunch. I used an entire gallon of the undercoat because you can't have any left over, it won't keep in the can once it's opened. It is a poor man's show truck but it looks real good, red truck with Ford dark metallic blue front and rear fenders and red inside the box. From a distance I wanted the truck to look like a regular International Commercial Work truck which were factory IH red with black fenders but up close it really turns some heads. Of course if you are using your truck for work etc you might want to consider Raptor or other products which are excellent but this is what I did and get a lot of compliments on the color match with the exterior color of the truck. I plan on doing the same process with my '67 Mercury M100 4X4. Good luck with your project, keep us posted.
