Because I had to have it!

Post by Wilfred of Ivanhoe »

Just got this last night...

Image

I know, I know. It's a dent, not a bump, but it's mine now! Anyway, I drove it the first 6 or 7 miles and had to tow it the other 14 miles or so with my 69. I was impressed that it would run at all given that it had set for some time. It has MANY issues, but it also has much potential.

I suppose, in the grand scheme of things, having three trucks doesn't show too bad of an addiction.

Well, the best answer would probably be that it does not run. ...ok, with some fiddling I got it to drive a little bit. It was a parts truck, and there are a LOT of components that have been "looted" (for a good cause I might point out). There are numerous issues from serious to minor. Too many to list, but the engine will need to be rebuilt. It's future is yet to be determined. My dad has really taken a liking to it. He has a F350 2WD like it, so we will see what happens.

I actually had never come across the Dent Fordification. This is my first dent so I had never really looked. I am venturing out into the would outside of bumps. :hd:
