Identify this for me please
my grandpa worked for a logger who ordered two of these. it started out as a multi passenger bus. then had a water tank put inside. then grandpa bought it and turned it into a mobile machine shop. He was one of those guys who could show up at a log landing and fix anything on the spot.
It went to my dad who kept it for years. Now he is retired and on the move, so here it is at my house. I have restored many 68-72 truck in my day and Im going to restore this vehicle also
I do not know if this is the correct thread or not, sorry if its wrong.
PLEASE help me identify this vehical with other links and or a correct name.
I did see a picture of chevy and coca cola that looks the same as the ford, so I know that they had a company that they sent the vehicles out to.

WOW that is unique. The grill and hood emblems say it is a 1967. Does it have the VIN tag to decode it. Look it over real well for a body manufacture's tag hopefully it still exists.

Yep, that should have started life as a nose and cowl truck that was sent out to a body builder to have the body fabricated / installed similar to the camper chassis or ice cream truck.

Yup, somewhere, there should have been a Tag riveted on that would have the name of the bodybuilder.
Here is a site that lists coachbuilders, you can look them up several ways, Alphabetically, By Region, By Type of body (ie: Application), etc
Because you currently do not know the Builders name, I would start with the regional one to see who the choices were in your part of the country.....

That is unique and cool. All I can tell you is that it looks like a 67ish. Very interesting!

Re: Identify this for me please
thanks for the help, I went to the cost for a few days now im back. Ill look around the truck to find the tag. My dad has the title. He just moved so it will be awhile until he will get it to me, but.... ill look around.
one thing i noticed and you people cant see it is, on the Chevy and the ford the cowl in front of the windshield has an pop up air vent. both trucks seem to have about the same measurements between the hood and the windshield, just one of the things i noticed,
now ill go back and click on the link that james gave me, once again thanks for the help!!

well, I have been all over the truck I did find the ford id tag under the hood on the fire well. but I have yet to find a body builder tag. I did notice that there is a lot of school bus yellow under the dash and pretty much all over, so.... i wounder if this was a school bus then transformed into a crummy truck. who knows..... still on the search

Here's What You Have
Model Year 1967
Built December 1966
Wheel base 135 inches
Engine 352 Cubic inch FE
Built Kansas City
Color Chrome Yellow
Model F350
Gross Vehicle Weight 10000
Shipped to body builder as body cowl and chassis
Transmission 4 Speed New Process
Axle Dana 70 4.10 Gears
Sent to Seattle area
Sold under special order 1845
This truck was ordered and not just sold at the dealer.
As for the body itself I have no idea without the body builders tag. I would think the body builder is in the Seattle area and that company bought many under special order 1845

A Marti report may tell you. The report usually tells what dealership sold the Car/Truck Just maybe it will tell you which coach/body builder it was sent to. Link http://www.martiauto.com/ as always keep us informed.
