Steering wheel

Post by Busboy »

Does anyone know of a factory ford steering wheel that will fit my 67 f-100 but that is of a smaller diameter than the original 17 inch one? Yes, I have belly clearance issues.
1967 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
Another 67 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
2016 F-150 Eco-Boost 2.7 liter. (It will smoke the tires!)
1972 F-350 Sport Custom cab & chassis.
1972 F-250 Explorer Special, Camper Special.
1971 F-100 custom. 302, C-4, p.s. p.b. factory 65 amp alternator with transistorized voltage regulator.

I thought all the "factory" steering wheels were the same size for the bumps. There are definitely other options if you are willing to go with something that is not factory. Some of them are very simple replacements that have that era's look.
1953 F100 (Waitint for attention)
1969 F100 LWB w/ 72 grille (Daily driver & work truck)
1969 F100 LWB Parts truck
1971 F100 SSWB 4x4 (Current Project)
2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport (Actually the wife's)

The steering wheels from the econoline vans are the same diameter but they are much shallower. Probably 1.5 to 2 inches shallower. They don't match up to the column exactly but it doesn't look bad. No one would probably even notice. Regardless, that will help your clearance issues and still look stock.
