Okay so I've put in a new fuel sending unit from LMC and my gauge now reads 3/4 full. I just put the tank back in the truck after cleaning it and put 2 gallons in it. I've read the voltage at the sending unit and it spikes up to 2.3v at the most and 0v at the lowest. I've read posts about adjusting the voltage regulator on the back of the instrument cluster but everyone posting seemed to have a full tank and reading 3/4 full. My tank is basically empty (2 gallons) and it reads 3/4 full.
What do you guys suggest I do first.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Fuel Gauge
I am no expert, but I took my sending unit out and back in several times as I bent the wire a little each time. Just played with it until my gauge read right. that was a bunch of fill ups ago and everything is honky dorey now.
Some on here may say I did it wrong, but I don't care. It worked

May your sails stay full, and your knots not slip. Unless a slip knot.

Re: Fuel Gauge
I took a stick and put it in the tank it showed I had a half a tank. I then bent the rod that has the float on the end very little. I keep removing tweaking and installing the sending unit until I got 1/2 a tank reading on the gauge. did it 1/2 a dozen times until I got it. Worked for me, hope it does for you.
