staggered bullit wheel fitment?

1970 f100, 3-4 drop. I'm looking at a set of mustang bullit wheels, 20x8 and 20x10. With the proper adapters and spacers, will they fit or would the rear backspace be too much. I'm not sure what the backspace is on the mustang 20x10 wheels. Please help, need a nice set of the wheels for autorama next month.

Ummm.. you do realize that the bolt patterns are different, right? Therefore, you'll need bolt pattern adapters that are also the proper width.

...............Unless you're neglecting to mention that the truck has already been converted...front and rear.

Well he did say "with the proper adapters and spacers".

Just out of curiosity, does someone make those? There are several trucks in the Projects forum running these sorts of wheels but IIRC all of them are CV swaps or similar.

Adapters are made for almost any pattern you can imagine. Adapting from 5 on 5.5" to 5 on 4.5" will require an adapter. It'll be about 1" thick and I think that would be a good starting point for trying to get the right spacing on the wheels. These trucks have a track width very similar to the smaller Rangers and I know a 1" spacer works pretty good on them for the later mustang wheels.
