1968 F100 Drivability And Upgrade Mods

I'm not quite sure where to post this so I apologize if it's wrong and feel free to move this thread where it need be.

I'm selling my diesel F250 which is my primary vehicle and I've bought a 2014 Mustang as a daily driver, which means the F100 will now be needed much more for daily driving as I use a truck frequently versus before I would only drive it sparingly. I want to upgrade a few things to make it more modern and more pleasant to drive for long periods of time and better suited for off road terrain. My budget is $2000 for all the upgrades and hopefully won't cost that much

I'm looking at doing these changes
- mud tires ( I have 1995 XLT F150 aluminum rims )
- single DIN radio install and new speaker
-new weatherstripping
-fixing my bent/leaking rear axle
-adding an auxiliary fuel tank
-window tint

Just a few questions I have about this are
What is the largest tire size I can run on this truck without rubbing with a mud tire? I have different rims than stock on the truck but the current tires are 235/75R15 Michlen LTX LT tires.
Best way to replace the radio and install a new speaker in the dash as I have the stock radio still in place?
Do they make entire reproduction dash pads?
Would installing a job site equipment refuel tank in the bed work as an auxiliary tank to refuel the in can tank?

Search the site for the old volvo radio kit used upside down in our dashes. I used an LMC dual cone speaker and I cut my doors below the panels in the factory deluxe radio style. Also can be seen on this site.
Unsure on the tires. Maybe about 31 inch but watch the width?
