1972 f100/f250

I am going to be starting the process of transferring the body and motor of the f100 (got in a trade and is in good condition) to a 1971 f250 4x4 frame (getting for free, body is crap, motor seized, frame and suspension are good) Just looking for any advice anyone has. This will be my first atempt at something like this but i feel my skills are high enough to do it. Thanks guys

I'd get polyurethane bushings to mount the cab on the frame.

You'll need to drill new holes for the rear body mount bolts, There's dimples already made so it will be easy to find the center to drill the hole.

I have also heard that if the motor came out of a 2wd truck I need a switch to a rear sump oil pan and such.

I've seen people use a 2wd pan and not have a problem, But the engine in a highboy sits at 1* more than a 2wd so that's the reason for the rear sump.

And a good tip is to cut the baffle a little ( about a inch ) in the rear sump pan before installing. Front of the pan will hit the front cross member if you ever try to pull it out and the baffle will get hung on the pick up screen. And the fight is on

I used the body off a 2wd to put on my highboy and everything was easy to see the difference's, I wouldn't take anything to the scrap yard until you were complete.
