While on ebay checking out universal cruise control kits I found this from Argentina. https://youtu.be/yqZM8nxkqM0
I think it's kinda scary.

That's the difference between Analog and Digital. Looks too complicated to get all the adjustments right. :hs:

It's just a throttle lock, not a speed control. It does not compensate for speed nor load. Go up a hill, slow down, go down a hill speed up.

My Sportster has the provision for a thumb wheel that does the same thing to the throttle.

Our vintage Tow trucks and PTO driven stuff has a similar setup with a dogtag style chain connected to the end of a cable that links to the throttle lever.

My dad had an old Dodge truck with a "Throttle" knob next to the choke, you could set it at any speed. It was "suicide control." A lot of old trucks had it.

I've had the motorcycle lock on several different scooters and a cable control on a '49 Dodge 1/2 ton I drove for almost 20 years. I think my issues with this is it just seems too complicated. I guess in my mind the more complicated a mechanical gizmo the more chances it'll go south on you.

First thought that came to my head was "man, that would be great for warming up the truck in the morning".
