that is really nice. Did you build that yourself? I'm currently restoring a 71, but using the original dash. Maybe in the future I would like to do something like that. Sharp!

Have not done one in some time. The one pictured is the first one I did that's in my truck. I also got lucky with this one as the chrome was above average. Not all that hard to do Just patience.

I don't do anything with the gauges. Just restore everything around them. If I find good prices on NOS gauges I will use them. but mostly OEM gauges that are in good shape. About the only thing I do is use overlays on the odometer numbers if they are yellowed and lube the speedometer and odometer. Don't use anything except a dry very soft cloth and light pressure to clean the faces of the gauges. Even water will take off the numbers and letters. Don't be tempted. I've ruined a few gauges this way. Oh also I will paint the needles with orange needle paint. The cluster pictured has all NOS gauges and is in my truck with about 1000 miles on them now.

Original factory chrome bezel. The chrome bezels had the background painted argent silver from factory. I repainted the argent silver areas. The factory painted bezels which I believe are all white in the 500 bezels where just painted steel. Here's a steel one painted completely Argent Silver.

I had a "60 that had a painted cluster with chrome showing around the gauges ,
I cleaned the paint off and there was nice chrome underneath.
