There are a few good people left in this world.
A few weeks ago my wife along with our 4 year old were driving down "Mile Level" when the tire blew out on her car. She tried to call me to see what to do but after working night shift I was sound asleep and never heard the phone ring. She made it to the Shell station to put air in it and it was going out as fast as it would go in. She managed to limp it to "Eddies Tire" also on Mile Level. At Eddies they took a look at the tire and realized it was damaged beyond repair and they did not have one in stock. OK now the amazing part. They unloaded 300 pounds of animal feed from the back of the car to get to the spare tire, put the spare on the car, loaded the 300 pounds of feed back into the car, took the bad tire off the rim loaded both into the car, called another tire shop made and appointment for her to get a new tire as soon as she left there ....AND THEN REFUSED TO TAKE ANY MONEY FROM HER!!! That my friends is how to run a business. They could have taking advantage of a stranded woman with her child, instead they went completely above and beyond just to help and refused payment. I went down today to thank them personally for what they did. They were very modest and just glad they could help. Needless to say I know where I'll be buying my tires for a long time.

Glad to hear chivalry is not dead! I prefer to take my business to local shops for those reasons. A home town shop still believes that a man's word is his bond and a handshake is good as a contract. Don't get me wrong, i still keep receipts. I'm not stupid.

That is truly good to hear,I recently called my local Ford dealer to see if they could help me find the part number rebuild kit for my power steering control valve and the parts guy was nice enough to spend half an hour to fine me the updated number knowing he would not make a sale but it was what I needed to start the search foe the NOS kit.I went on line and gave the dealer glowing reviews on the sites I could find......least I could do as I didn't spend any money with them. You might give them a plug in the same way you will reach MANY that way

How great is that.
