I live in old Ford truck heaven up here in the High Desert area of SoCal. Since a lot of my buddies own multiple, non-running, Slicks, Bumps and Dents, I thought of chicof100 since he does a GREAT job of restoring Ford truck grills as a business but also out of love.
Robert is always on the look out for clean, straight, original '67 to '69 Ford truck grills. You're probably thinking they DON'T exist, OH CONTRAIRE, at least in my neck of the woods (desert?) they do...in abundance! I AIN'T telling any more then that!
...anyway, I contacted Robert, we met Saturday morning at my place. He had already been to some local yards near me and had his PT Cruiser FILLED to the roof with grills and head light doors...quite a sight!
We head over to our first stop, my buddy Walt's place, and there it sits, a 1969 F250 Ranger with a decent grill! Robert couldn't remove it fast enough! How much? Again...I ain't tellin!!
Get to my next buddy Jack's place and this time Robert found a 1968 grill, BUT, not good enough for his discerning customers! Guess I must be too much of a Hill Billy...it looked pretty good to me? Oh well...
Anyway, it was GREAT meeting Robert, had Fun picking threw some of my buddies private reserve of old Fords and I even got a dual groove pulley alternator that I've been looking for.
Thanks again Robert for the wonderful education you gave me on the finer points of Ford truck grills! The man knows his stuff!
btw, for every grill you sell to FORDification members (based on my endorsement here) I'd like 10%...in cash! Just kidding!

10%, 10% Are you ...... After a plug like that your entitled to 20%
It was good hanging out with you, it was even better seeing all the trucks. I'm glad you learned a thing or two about grilles.
I learned a lot about friendships. You can't have to many friends. Thanks Lary and tell Jack thanks and I'll be in touch.
To bad I could'nt get that shortbed from Nate. That's going to be a nice running truck when he's done with it.

Does anybody have a phone number for Robert the grill guy? I really would like to talk to him about getting my hands on a grille.
