Re: Post pics of your SWB!
Here's my '69. It was originally a 240 with 3-on-the-tree, but now is a 351C with a TKO-600 5-speed. I also converted to power steering and power disc brakes, as well as 4.56 gears and Eaton TrueTrac differential. Suspension is DJM front and rear, with Addco sway bars and JDM Ford Lightning traction bars. There's more to it, but those are the highlights.

Re: Post pics of your SWB!
I posted a few pictures on this thread when the thread was first started back in the spring. It is still a work in progress but getting a little closer all the time. Hopefully I will have the doors and tailgate painted in the next week or so.

Not a whole lot of space between the cab and bed

Almost looks like a Unibody conversion. Looking close at the picture the bed needs to go back or he's going to have some flex issues.BobbyFord wrote:Sweet truck.Randle wrote:I posted a few pictures on this thread when the thread was first started back in the spring. Re: Post pics of your SWB!
The bed is a little close right now. I needed to move it from my shop to my garage so I can paint the doors and tailgate, so I set it on the frame and just clamped down. Here in the rust belt it's hard to find a good bed. I wanted to smooth all the seams and inside anyway so I put the bed together from parts from three different LWB beds, to make a SWB bed. When I get the rest of the body together I may need to do a little shimming to get all the body lines lined up right, then I will fastened it solid. A picture might explain it better then all my rambling.

Thanks! Wheels are just 17" american racing, with something like 245/45 on rear and 225/45 on front.
