You planning on doing any hauling or pulling with that aod? I ask cause I'm contemplating an aod swop.

I've always wanted to just build the heck out of a 300 someday.

Wow! There is some nice work there on the bed!! I really like the shaved tailgate latch and the inside handle that you came up with for opening it!!
Thanks for the comments on the bed, it also started life as a LWB, and that inside handle is a broken 1/2" ratchet handle.

I don't plan on using the AOD for pulling everyday but if something happens to my 92 Flareside I want it to be ready to fill in, it was modified with pulling in mind.

I have always liked the 300. The way I use a truck, you can't beat the 300's low end torque.

It's going to need a good recurve on the distributor for the EFI head, but I'm sure you know that if you've researched enough to know to advance the cam 4° from stock. I'm still fine tuning my 300 and low end seems to be lacking at the moment, probably from the Off C manifold, but if I ever get into the cam, it'll get advanced also while I'm there, but stay a stock grind. I have a 240 head and 292 rockers waiting to go on right now, just need the motivation.

The man I got the Duraspark from said it had been recurved but didn't know how much, so I know after I get it in the truck and running I might have to do a little fine tuning. Advancing the cam 4° does make a big difference in low end and mpg.

The EFI head just likes much less timing than normal carb heads and will ping from a normal performance curve and advance. More so with the cam advanced. You'll be able to dial it in though I'm sure.

Sorry I didn't mean to high jack your thread. Maybe we can get back on track, I know alot of guys have gone to the CV front end, here is a picture of a 70 I bought from a former member where he used the entire 93 CV frame and running gear.
