New Moebius bump model kit coming!

Post by mnagatani »

Dont know about you guys, but Ive been waiting for this kit for a long time. From what I gather from the link its a 71 lbw, and soon after a 69 swb. Looks like maybe early next year we can see the bump kits in the stores! Been a while since I last posted. Created my own 3d model and rendered it out. I want to build a real model!

Nice rendering
Great news on that '71. Motor City resin casters has come out with a 66 shortbox now too so things are finally looking up for us longsuffering modellers...

It says 1/25, so it should be pretty close. I might have to keep my eye on this!

Wow, these look really neat and I'd be tempted to buy one or three of them, but honestly I can see them languishing on my shelf for a few decades because if I'm going to put painstaking man-hours into a Bumpside, I want it to be in 12" to the foot scale. :D

I think it will be cheaper and easier to do it in scale. Mine could be the only rust free bump in the Northaest!

That '50 is too old, Steve. Gotta be '53 or newer. Revell has a '56 and monogram has a '55 with boxes like that AMT '53 that will work...
Best part for the 4x4 fans is the big danas can be robbed from any chev, dodge or jeep kit.

Find this old AMT kit and you'll get all the 4x4 parts you need.
